The mission of this program is to provide an enjoyable, safe, positive, and fair environment to learn and develop baseball skills in a manner that fosters respect for others, self-confidence, sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork for Lakeside athletes. Our experienced coaches bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for the game, ensuring each player receives the guidance needed to reach their full potential. We believe in more than just winning games; we strive to develop well-rounded individuals who can succeed both on and off the field.

INAUGURAL SEASON

Lakeside Baseball Coach - Brooks Balisterri, NPC Head Coach - Rich Thompson, and the Hot Springs Gamblers Organization have partnered together to create a program that will enable players to develop their skills and be better prepared as they transition into the high school baseball program! Teams will be formed in classifications 7U - 14U in October 2024, and tournament play as Lakeside Rams will begin Spring 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of travel baseball?

All travel baseball teams are self-funded. This means that all funds in the player budget must be paid and/or fundraised by the player and their family. The budget for each player is determined by the coach and each age group's needs for uniforms, equipment, number of tournaments, etc. Budgets could range from $700-$1,200 per player - again, depending on your team's needs.

How can I join a travel team?

Attend our annual tryouts where your skills will be assessed using a grading system consistent with Lakeside High School's team. After tryouts, joining a team is only possible by invite. There will be players who are asked to continue to work on their skills individually, and tryout next year.

What age groups do you have teams for?

We will be holding tryouts for teams ages 7U - 14U in October 2024 for Spring 2025 USSSA tournament play.

Is this a recreation league?

NO. Lakeside Travel Baseball is not designed to be a league where several teams in each age group are formed. Tournaments will be on weekends (Saturday AND Sunday mostly), and practice will be 2+ times per week depending on the age group. Our intent is to develop highly competitive players and teams.

Will every player that tries out make the team?

No. We encourage each player who does not make the travel teams at tryouts to work on their skills individually and come back and tryout next year!
